Tying the Knot
With an astounding 250,000 couples divorcing each year prior to their second wedding anniversary, it is apparent that starting out in marriage and forming a life-long bond is not an easy task. These programs are designed to help a couple or individual prepare for and have a healthy marriage while it is in the planning stages or even while it does not exist yet.

Attention couples!
  • Are you planning your wedding? Anxiously choosing a minister, church, reception hall, attendants, wedding bands, gowns, tuxedos, honeymoon package…
  • Are you seriously dating a special person? Wondering if you are building a lasting relationship with a truly compatible partner…
If yes, join us for the Marriage Preparation workshop where you will discover key principles for building a vital, fulfilling marriage. The activities are designed to help you become comfortable talking to each other about the possibilities and challenges you face as a couple, and you will focus on some key topics;
  • Realistic expectations -- are we too idealistic?
  • Effective communication – are we really listening to one another and are we really saying what we mean?
  • Conflict resolution – do we know how to deal with the tough issues together
  • Genuine intimacy – do we express love and affection to one another?
  • Financial management – do we know how to develop and follow a workable budget?
  • Family backgrounds -- have we talked about how our family environment may be impacting our current relationships?
Attention singles!
    What are you thinking about?
  • is marriage a future option for you?
  • do you believe long term commitment is relevant today?
  • why makes lasting relationships so challenging?
