TWOgether Pittsburgh is a service of Family Guidance supported by a group of like-minded agencies and individuals who believe in the strengthening of marriages. The coalition includes the Center for Urban Biblical Ministry, the Women's Center & Shelter of Greater Pittsburgh, Smith Brothers Agency, and a team of Evaluators led by Drs. Lucas Musewe and Jean Harvey.
We are a multi-pronged effort to create healthier, more viable marriages and stable relationships in the western Pennsylvania region. The program consists of the following modules:
Although we believe in the benefit of professional counseling, we are not a counseling agency, and therefore refer individuals needing and desiring such to licensed professionals. Since the failure of a marriage begins long before the divorce, we offer workshops with relationship skills training to assist in the preparation for and improvement of existing marriages. We provide our services in local churches.

TWOgether Pittsburgh is a coalition whose membership includes Family Guidance, Inc., The Center for Urban Biblical Ministry, The Women's Center & Shelter of Greater Pittsburgh, Smith Brothers Agency, and a team of Evaluators led by Drs. Lucas Musewe and Jean Harvey.
The Coalition was formed in 2002. In 2004 it received a federal grant that allowed the formation of The Marriage Works, the forerunner of TWOgether Pittsburgh. The Marriage Works operated, with great success in Pittsburgh's East End until 2009.
From 2006 – 2011, TWOgether Pittsburgh was the recipient of a 5–year, $8.35 million demonstration grant that served over 5,000 individuals in Western Pennsylvania with tremendous success in couple and individual relational growth.
Following the success of the original project, TWOgether Pittsburgh applied for and was awarded an additional $3.5 million Healthy Marriage Initiative grant. In total, we have served over 12,000 individuals in the Pittsburgh region.
Funding for the grant is through the Administration for Children and Families, a division of the U.S Department of Health and Human Services. The funding is one of approximately 75 Grants funded as Healthy Marriage and Responsible Fatherhood.
